Raymond Joseph Lee

Raymond Joseph Lee, 52, of Jonesboro, Ga. passed away in his home Tuesday, March 29, 2005, after his battle with cancer.

He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie, of 26 years; son, Matthew; daughter and son-in-law, Marla and Stephen Bruner; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ramona and Carl Thompson of Zebulon, Ga., Vivian and Ted Buffington of Morrow, Ga., and Miriam and Bernard Cashwell of Parkton, N.C.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Dianne Lee of Hope Mills, N.C. and Ralph and Ginger Lee of Chesnee, S.C.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Kim Eason; grandchildren, Thomas and Morgan Bruner; several nieces and nephews.

He worked as a warehouseman at Rexnord Corporation for 27 years. Over the years he was involved in various youth activities. For those whose lives have been enriched by Raymond, he will be greatly missed. He was a man of dignity, graciousness, and a most loving spirit. Each day is a gift, another opportunity to be the best person we can to the ones we love. He was our gift. Our wonderful husband and father, special brother, perfect uncle, and precious granddad.

I lieu of flowers, personal donations to the family to cover medical costs would be greatly appreciated.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Pope Dickson & Son - Jonesboro Chapel.

Funeral services begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 31 at the Chapel with Pastor Jerry Stewart officiating. Entombment will be at Camp Memorial Gardens.
