Clayton County police arrested six people after they found guns in the car of a group of people participating in a fight at North Clayton High School.

Officers arrested 19-year-old Christopher Kelly whose address is unknown, Marcellus Beavers, 19, of Hampton, Matelzee Abendigo Kromah, 17, and 18-year-old Martavious Lamar Wiggins, both of College Park, Cortez Anthony Thompson, 17, of Ellenwood, Vernon Edward Young, 17, of Union City and a 15-year-old male youth from College Park whose name was not released, according to a Clayton County police report.

The incident took place around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday when school officials saw Beavers, Wiggins, Thompson and Kelly, who are not students at the school, fighting with at least the other two suspects. Some of the coaches and ROTC instructors at the school tried to break up the fight and at one point one of the non-students drew a shotgun from the car in which they had been riding, Clayton County Public Schools spokesman Charles White said.

Police found a long-barrelled shotgun and a "sawed-off" shotgun loaded with one round of ammunition in the car as well as a .380 caliber handgun and ski masks in a bag. The car belongs to Beavers and he admitted to knowing the guns were there.

The youths face charges that include affray, disrupting a public school, possessing a weapon on school property, criminal trespass and more. The 15-year-old was released to his mother on a juvenile complaint.
