The Clayton County Board of Education will hold its second and last of its public hearings on its fiscal year 2006 budget at 7 tonight. The meeting will be held at the school system's Administrative Complex, 1058 Fifth Ave. The tentative budget passes along the state's 2 percent pay raise for the school system's teachers and gives a 2 percent pay raise to all other school system employees. The tentative budget does not call for raising taxes. The budget is expected to be adopted at the school board's regular business meeting at 7 p.m. June 6.More like this story
