Seniors set for graduation

Chairs have been setup, and practices held. The day that Clayton County's 2,391 high school seniors have been waiting for is here.

The weather is expected to be partly cloudy today through graduation ceremonies on Saturday with a 20 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures will dip into the lower 60s tonight and be in the 80s tomorrow afternoon.

The following is a list of graduation details for each of Clayton County's eight high schools:

Lovejoy High School's graduation will be at 7:30 tonight at Twelve Oaks Stadium. In the case of rain, the ceremony will be held in the school's gym.

Also tonight, North Clayton High School will hold its graduation at 7:30 at Tara Stadium. Graduation will be moved to the Clayton County Schools Performing Arts Center in case of bad weather.

Jonesboro High School seniors will graduate at 9 a.m. Saturday at Twelve Oaks Stadium and will be held at Lovejoy High School if the weather turns bad.

At the same time, Morrow High School will hold its graduation at Tara Stadium. The ceremony will be held at the Performing Arts Center if it rains.

Mt. Zion High School graduation will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Tara Stadium and will be moved to Lovejoy High School in the case of bad weather.

Graduation ceremonies for Forest Park High School are set for 3 p.m. Saturday at the Clayton County Schools Performing Arts Center.

Riverdale High School graduation will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Twelve Oaks Stadium and will he moved to Lovejoy High School if the weather turns bad.

The first graduating class of Mundy's Mill High School will march at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Tara Stadium. Graduation will be at Mt. Zion High School in case of bad weather.
