A seven-car pile up delayed traffic on Interstate 75 for several hours Monday morning.
Carmenthis Latrice Nolley, 34, of Hampton told Clayton County police that she was traveling north on I-75 near Ga. Highway 54 in Morrow around 8 a.m. when the car in front of her braked, according to a police report. Nolley attempted to brake but she lost control of her Ford Expedition, hitting the median wall.
That began a chain reaction of cars colliding into each other, many being struck from behind as they tried to slow down to avoid other cars. One of the vehicles involved in the accident was a tractor trailer.
There were no serious injuries in the accident, Clayton County Assistant Police Chief Jeff Turner said.
