Lester “Bill” Clarence Henderson, age 88, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005.
Henderson was born in Decatur, Ga. to the late Atticus Greer and Maggie Angela Willard Henderson. He worked with Civilian Conservation Corps and was a member of the Grant Park Masonic Lodge. Mr. Henderson was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Lila T. Henderson. His favorite hobby was gardening and he loved being a dad.
Mr. Henderson is survived by his daughters, Jackie Henderson, Jonesboro, Vicki (Paul) Carothers, Gainesville; sons, Kenneth R. Henderson, Clayton; Barry L. Henderson, Atlanta; grandson, Charley (Melanie) Clinkenbeard; granddaughters, Wendy Clinkenbeard White, Maria Clinkenbeard (Kris) Cochran, all of Locust Grove; and great-grandchildren, Andrew Cochran, Trenton John Cochran and Makenzie White.
Funeral Services will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday at the chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with the Rev. Terrell Hopkins officiating.
