Jessie Davis Ball, 84, passed away Thursday at the home of her daughter, Jewell McKinney, following an extended illness.

Mrs. Ball was a native of Marshall, North Carolina but had made her home in Kingsport for the past two years. She was a member of Payne's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and was a long time member of the Little Pine Home Demonstration Club and the Augustin Clayton Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter in Jonesboro.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Jack Ball, Kingsport; one son and daughter-in-law, Jackie and Sue Ball, Marshall, N.C.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and Bill Cox, Asheville, N.C.; Jewell and Clayton McKinney, Kingsport, Tenn.; Joyce and Ray Patton, Jonesboro; three grandchildren, Brian and Brent McKinney, and Jeanne Cox; two great grandchildren, Jacqueline Honeycutt and Tyler Barnette; two great great grandchildren, Paige and Paris Honeycutt.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Madison Funeral Home Chapel.
