Col. Clarence E. Ooley
Col. Clarence E. Ooley, U.S. Air Force, retired, age 87, of McDonough, Ga., died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005.
He was born Nov. 21, 1917 in Spencer, Ind. Col. Ooley retired after 17 years in the Marines and 13 years in the Air Force. He was a Veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. Mr. Ooley attended Indiana University where he played with 1940 National Championship Basketball Team. He enjoyed all types of sports.
Clarence was the last surviving of 11 children. He enjoyed for many years singing with his brothers. He was the widower of the love of his life, Patricia A. Ooley after 57 years of marriage. After retirement they enjoyed traveling and he enjoyed gardening. He had a very special interest in adoption.
Surviving Col. Ooley is his daughter, Gloria and Milton D. Nitz, McDonough, Ga., grandson, David and Cheree Nitz, great-grandchildren, Eric and Lauren Nitz, all of Jackson, Ga., and brother-in-law, Roy Turner, Hudson, Fla.
Funeral Services will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005 at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Dr. Jimmy Baughcum officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Monday, Nov. 21, 2005 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Carl Taylor Key
Mr. Carl Taylor Key, of Locust Grove, passed away Sunday, Nov. 19, 2005 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
Mr. Key was born on March 29, 1936 in LaGrange, Ga. He was a loving husband, father and poppy.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Key; sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Shawna Stringfellow, and Scott and Delaine Stringfellow; mother, Christine Key; grandchildren, Keith Banks, Steven Lackey, Chris Stringfellow, Nicole Stringfellow, James Lackey, Jordan Stringfellow, and Jocelyn Stringfellow.
Funeral services for Mr. Key will be held Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005 at 3:30 p.m. in the Warren Haisten Memorial Chapel. Friends may visit the family on Monday, Nov. 21, 2005 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. William Ernest Beese
Mr. William Ernest Beese of McDonough died on Nov. 18, 2005, following a brief illness. Mr. Beese was retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a World War II veteran, serving with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign War.
His survivors are his wife of 64 years, Margaret F. Beese; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ann and Joseph Connelly, Patricia and Richard Orlowski; sons and daughters-in-law, William and Linda Beese, Robert and Nancy Beese. Eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 21, 2005 at Saint John's Catholic Church in Hapeville, Ga., at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Stockbridge.
