William R. Cordell, age 78, of Forest Park, Ga., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005.
Mr. Cordell served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from the General Motors Corp. with 30 years of service. Surviving is his wife of 61 years Edna Cordell; daughters, Linda McClung, Betty Gonsalves, Teresa Jones and Mary McClarty ; son, William R. Cordell Jr.; sister, Ruby Narmore, brother, Mack Kennemer; eight grandchildren; eight great-great grandchldren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday Nov. 25, 2005 at 2 p.m. from Ward's Parkway Chapel, with the Rev. Scott Day officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Horis A. Ward Parkway Chapel (404) 366-3522.More like this story
