Felicity is a 4.5 year old Calico domestic shorthair. She has been spayed and all vaccinations are current. Felicity was yet another pregnant female, abandoned at the shelter while in labor. She was immediately rushed to the veterinary hospital, where an emergency C-section had to be performed. As usual, as soon as they were old enough, the babies were adopted and mom was left behind. Felicity is not happy at the shelter, as she seems frightened of being in the presence of so many other cats. She seldom wanders out of her cage, chosing to spend most of her time huddled in a corner. However, she loves people and will not hesitate to come to the front of the cage if a person approaches. She loves to be held and petted, and would make a wonderful lap cat for someone in a quiet home. The humane society is looking for a special person, with a big heart, willing to give a really sweet adult cat, a real home and a second chance at happiness. Felicity has many years of life yet to come, and they should not be spent in a cage.
Missy is a 10 month old Chihuahua. She has been spayed and all vaccinations are current. Missy previously lived with an elderly owner, and when that owner was no longer able to care for her, she came to live at the humane society shelter. In that former home, she was extremely loved and pampered, but she did not get much exposure to anything or anybody outside of the home, so she can be a bit shy in new situations. She has adjusted well to the shelter routine, so it is very likely that she will do well in a new home, given a little time and patience. She has been very sweet and affectionate with shelter staff.
