Mildred Lorean Walters, age 84, of Morrow, Ga., died Oct. 19, 2005, after a long battle with several health problems. Mrs. Walters was born in Bell City, Missouri, Sept. 8, 1921, and lived in Memphis most of her school years. She served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II. She was employed by Kimberly-Clark Corporation, North Memphis for many years.
She is survived by her husband Harold W. Walters, husband for 47 years; a daughter Priscilla West and a grandson Brian Jacobs of Gwinnett County, Ga; and relatives in Bell City, Missouri. Viewing will be Sunday, Oct. 23 from 4-6 p.m. at Pope Dickson's Morrow Chapel, (770) 961-2700 A funeral mass will be conducted at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church Monday, Oct. 24 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at the Philadelphia Presbyterian Cemetery near Limestone, Tenn., Oct. 26 at 1p.m. Taylor Funeral Directors, Jonesboro, Tennessee, is in charge of arrangements.More like this story
