Betty Jo Glosson
Betty Jo Glosson, 75, of Jonesboro passed Monday, October 24 at her home after an extended illness. She was an amazing Mother and Grandmother, a hard worker and always there for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Glosson, Sr. and her parents James McKinley and Cynthia June Nance.
She is survived by her children: Vickie & Glenn Moss, Jerry Russell, Sam Spielmann & Tom Atkins, Joseph & Sandie Glosson, and Lisa & George Brand. She has thirteen grandchildren: Glenn Moss, Jr., Robert Moss, Steve Moss, Brady Preston, Peyton Ulrich, Liz Atkins, Tommy Atkins, Ashley Atkins, Jarrett Glosson, Dustin Glosson, Christopher Ford, Sydney and Riley Lane. She also has fourteen great-grand children who added great joy to her life. She was the oldest of ten siblings. She will be loved and missed by all. Heaven has a new angel.

Don Carson, Sr., age 56, of McDonough, GA., died Tuesday, October 25, 2005. He was born in Long Beach, CA to the late Donald Clifton and Rose Morcomb Dunghey Carson. Don liked to play golf, fish, and attend Georgia Tech football games with his sons and enjoyed teaching his daughter his favorite sports. He was a graduate of the University of Alaska / Fairbanks where he attended on a basketball scholarship. He taught school for 32 years, most recently with the Clayton County School System.
Mr. Carson is survived by his wife, Annette Carson, McDonough, GA; Children, Donald Arthur Carson, Jr., Orlando, FL, Brendan Sheehan Carson, Orlando, FL, Sara Rose Carson, McDonough, GA; Mother, Rose Morcomb Carson, McDonough, GA; Several Nieces & Nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Whiteneck Huff.
Private Services will be held for the family. Mr. Tommy “Gee” Georganakis of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at the age of 66.
Mr. Georganakis was a member of the American Legion and is survived by his wife, Marie Georganakis; daughters, Sharon and Marty Schilling, Jonesboro, Marie and Rick Veal, Lawrenceville; sons, Robert Georganakis, Elmsford, N.Y., Thomas Georganakis, Atlanta; sister, Christina Carroll, Ormond Beach, Fl.; brother, David LeBahn, Clark Summit, Pa.; grandchildren, Matthew and Erin Schilling, Stuart and Leah Veal.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Horis A. Ward Tara Chapel. The family will receive friends Friday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
