Jennette R. Davis

Jennette R. Davis, 82, of Stockbridge, passed away Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughter, Peggy Beck and husband Phillip of McDonough; son, Harry R. Davis of Stockbridge; grandchildren, Noelle and Joshua, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry M. Davis. Mrs. Davis was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Horis A. Ward Funeral Home, with Dr. Robert Brown and the Rev. Jim Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.

Samuel Vincent Falvo

Horace Hubert Swanson

Mr. Horace Hubert Swanson, age 83, of McDonough, Ga. died Sept. 25, 2005.

Mr. Swanson was born Nov. 27, 1921 in Towns County, Ga., the son of the late Bertha Lee Tatum and Erastus Burt Swanson. He was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Burt Swanson, in 1956.

He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of McDonough, past president of the McDonough Lions Club, a graduate of the University of Georgia, served his country in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Ford Motor Company as a cost analyst with 36 years of service.

He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and enjoyed reading and gardening.

Survivors are his loving wife of 57 years, Marcia Fisher Swanson; daughter, Marcia Ann Swanson; grandchildren, Susanna Lee Swanson and Annemarie Swanson; great grandson Logan Knause all of McDonough; sisters, Virginia McClure of Hayesville, N.C. and Charlotte Garrett of Young Harris, Ga.; sister-in-law, Agnes Beers of McDonough; brother-in-law, Lewis Fisher of McDonough; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Swanson will be Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Interment will be at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mrs. Catherine "Grace" Royer

Mrs. Catherine "Grace" Royer, 64, died on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005 at Hospice Savannah.

The Henry County native was a member of The Bethany Baptist Church in McDonough and she enjoyed growing daylillies. She was preceded in death by a son, Chuck Elliot and a sister, Joyce Pritchet.

Mrs. Royer was preceded in death by a grandson, William K. Royer.

Survivors include her husband, John H. Royer of Statesboro; children, Rudy Floyd of Ashton, Idaho, Keith Floyd of Jacksonville, Fla., and Kathy Floyd Schenk of Oklahoma City, Okla.; step-children, John H. Royer, Jr., Gregory B. Royer, and Douglas E. Royer, all of Guyton, and Christopher F. Royer, of Douglas; 11 grandchilren; siblings, John Robert Chamlee, Jr., Claude Chamlee, Pearl Bunn, Helen Ricks, Danny Chamlee, Sammy Chamlee, Gloria Harvey and Donnie Chamlee, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim. Rememberances may be given to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, Ga., 31416.
