The last thing she said was, "My baby, my baby."
Clayton County Police found 20-year-old Kimberly Szilagyi in bed, on Thanksgiving morning, screaming and bleeding from a gunshot wound to the head at the Hidden Creek Apartments in Morrow.
Eight days later, the woman, who was reportedly shot in her sleep, died, at Grady Memorial Hospital, Clayton County Police Capt. Greg Dickens said.
Szilagyi, of Morrow, was rushed to the hospital by helicopter on Nov. 22, but remained in critical condition during a drug-induced coma for more than a week. She died early Nov 30.
Police do not know what she meant by, "my baby, my baby," Dickens said.
The man accused of shooting Szilagyi, Alpha Timbo, 21, was previously arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Police said the charge will now be upgraded to murder.
Timbo also is being charged with the murder of Darropis Adams,19, and with aggravated assault, in relation to the 4:40 a.m., triple shooting.
According to arrest warrants, filed with Clayton County court, the shooting was drug related.
Timbo's probable cause hearing is scheduled for Dec. 18, in Clayton County Magistrate Court.
