Marjorie Maxine Kelly
Marjorie Maxine Kelly, age 82, of Stockbridge, died Friday, November 30, 2007. She was born in Domino, Ky. to the late James T. and Bessie Sellers Head. She was a member of the Stockbridge First United Methodist Church and retired from Sears. Her proudest recollection was being the nursery keeper at Glenn Haven United Methodist Church for many years. Mrs. Kelly was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Bunch, a brother, Pearl L. Head, and a sister, Nada Evans. Mrs. Kelly is survived by her daughters, Betty J. (Wallace L.) Newton of Stockbridge, Ga. and Merry (Frank Blount) Barfield of Loganville, Ga.; sister, Nadine Perkins of Jellico, Tenn; brother, James C. Head of Jellico, Tenn.; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 2007 at the Stockbridge First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim McRae officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Stockbridge First United Methodist Church, The Methodist Children's Home of Decatur, or the American Diabetes Association.
