Kirk Michael Collins

Kirk Michael Collins, of Forest Park, died Sunday, Dec. 2. He was born Oct. 17, 1991. Mike was a loving and beloved son, brother, and friend. He was an honor student at Woodward Academy, where he enjoyed playing football and wrestling, and was a member of the National Honors Society.

Mike is survived by his parents, David and Sharon Collins, and siblings, David and Anne, Jon and Amanda, Kay, Justin, and Luke, who are thankful for the sixteen wonderful years they were able to share with him. Funeral services will be held TODAY (Wednesday, Dec.5), at 2 p.m., at the Rock Springs Baptist Church, 5900 Reynolds Road, Morrow, Ga., 30260. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro. Mike will be missed by all. Horis A. Ward Parkway Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. (404) 366-3522.

Debra Y. Robertson

Debra Y. Robertson, 51, of Jonesboro, died Monday, Dec. 3. She was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Robertson, and her father, Bobby E. Wood. She is survived by her daughters, Christy (Chris) Hall, of Milner, and Jennifer Robertson, of Jonesboro; mother, Melba Wood, of Forest Park; sister, Cindy Voyles, of Franklin, Tenn.; mother-in-law, Sylvia Davis, of Christian City, and nephew, Jason Voyles ,of Franklin, Tenn. Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 6, in the Chapel of Carl J. Mowell and Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville. The Rev. Chris Perkins will officiate. Breezy Harrison

Hervey Evans "Breezy" Harrison, 85, of LaGrange, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Hospice. He was born on July 28, 1922 in Canton, Miss., son of the late Charles Fields Harrison and Inie Evans Harrison. He joined the Navy

at age 19 and served during World War II in Norfork, Va. Breezy met his future wife, Polly Owen, on a train during World War II. They were devoted to each other for 58 years of marriage. His nickname, "Breezy" was given to him during his Navy days, because he always worked so fast. As an airplane mechanic, he was able to work on two planes at one time, while the other men only worked on one. Also, he was able to finish a year of schooling in 24 weeks. He just seemed to "breeze" through everything. After WWII, Breezy worked in Oak Ridge National Lab, K-25, Oak Ridge, Tenn. Then, in 1959, he moved to Atlanta where he started his own dental lab, working there as a dental technician for 34 years until his retirement. He was a devout member of Jonesboro United Methodist Church for 47 years, serving in many capacities. He joined First United Methodist in LaGrange, Ga., in 2005 when he moved to LaGrange. Breezy made many friends at Vernon Woods Retirement Home and Poplar Creek, where he loved to play Bingo and participate in other activities. Survivors include his only child, Joanna Harrison Selbie and her husband, Ric, of LaGrange, Ga.; two grandsons, John Selbie and his wife, Sandra, of Seattle, Wash., and David Selbie, of LaGrange; his brother, Charles Fields Harrison, Jr., and his wife, Marian, of Maryville, Tenn.; his sister-in-law, Sara Owen Hayes, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceded in death by his loving wife, Polly. She died in September 2005. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 9, at First United Methodist Church in LaGrange, Ga., with the Rev. Harold Lawrence officiating. Immediately following the service, burial will take place at Sherwood Memorial Park, Jonesboro, Ga., with the Rev. Charles Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends in their home at 304 Victoria Pointe, LaGrange, Ga., Thursday evening Dec. 8.

Dorothy "Dot" Wilson

Dorothy "Dot" Wilson, of Forest Park, passed away Dec. 4, 2007, at Southern Regional Medical Center. She is survived by her daughters, Debra Roem, of Grayson, Marsha Middleton, of Grayson, and Betty Jean Bryan, of Acworth; son, James Alan Wilson, of Forest Park; grandchildren, Stephanie, Tammy, Christy, Mike and Kelsey; 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 6 at 1:30 p.m., at Forest Park Baptist Church, with Dr. Reed Crumbliss officiating.
