Belinda Wofford Pound

Belinda Wofford Pound, 54, of LaGrange, died Wednesday, Dec. 19. Mrs. Pound was born Feb. 12, 1953 in Valdosta. She is the daughter of the late Paul and Martha Jeanette Townsend Wofford. She was a member of Community Bible Church in Stockbridge and was a Registered Nurse in Atlanta for many years.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, William Archie Pound, of LaGrange; two sons and daughter-in-law, Eric and Dana Pound, of Kenosha, Wisc., and Brandon Pound, of LaGrange; grandson, Robby Pound, and a granddaughter, Sally Rae Pound, both of Kenosha, Wisc.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat and Chuck Robertson, of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Sherry and Gary Whiddon, of Ashburn; and a brother, Mickey Wofford, of Ashburn; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11a.m., at the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel. The Rev. Jack Bartlett is officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens. The family will be at her home at 151 Hawthorne Circle, and will receive friends at the funeral home this evening (Friday) from 6-9 p.m. Flowers will be accepted, or contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Pound to the Susan G. Gary Gerald Davidson

Gary Gerald Davidson, 61, of Hampton, died Dec. 19. He was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran and also served in the Georgia National Guard. He worked for Eastern Air Lines and then retired from Northwest Airlines as a mechanic. He enjoyed traveling and was a master of many trades. He is survived by his wife, Valerie; his son, Patrick Jay Davidson, of Stockbridge; daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Shawn Ledford, of McDonough; grandchildren Justin, Jacob, and Hannah Davidson and Maeley Ledford; sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Bill Young, of Winston Salem, N.C.; and mother-in-law, Dorothy Vernamonti, of Roanoke, Va.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, Dec. 22, 11 a.m., at the Chapel of Carl J Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville. The Rev. Mark Westmoreland and Pastor Mike Creasman will officiate. Leonard L. Day

Leonard L. Day, 80, of Monticello, Ga., died Thursday, Dec. 20. He was born in Atlanta, to the late Thomas Herbert and Era Dell Simonton Day. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Amanda L. Gladden; brothers, Julius H. Day, William Maughon, Robert Sexton; and sister, Kathleen Wallace. Day served as a cook in the Navy and was a diesel mechanic with Terminal Transport and American Freight System. He enjoyed woodworking, working on cars, cooking, sewing and was known as a "Jack Of All Trades." But most importantly, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Helen I. Davis Day, Monticello, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, DeLisa M. and Matt Brown, Locust Grove; grandchildren, Tiffany M. Gladden, Cami L. Gladden, Cody A. Gladden, Matthew K. Brown, Jr.; brother, Grover F. (Betty) Day, Loganville; sister, Mary Ann (Charlie) Freeman, Lilburn. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m., at The Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. Pastor Boyd Evans will officiate. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
