Clayton County Police have released the sketch of a man wanted for questioning in connection with the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl.
Police described the unidentified man as a black male between the ages of 18 and 19. He is believed to weigh about 160 pounds, be 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with a medium complexion and hazel-colored eyes. The sketch is based on descriptions given by the reported rape victim. Police were called around 12:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 26, to Silver Springs Apartments at 855 Mt. Zion Road. Officers reported the girl, who is not being named, was visibly upset, and would not talk initially. Later, however, she told detectives she was at a nearby school bus stop when a white mini-van, with a black stripe down the side, stopped. The unidentified man was walking by. The girl said the unidentified man grabbed her and pushed her into the van. There was another man driving the van, police said. The pair allegedly drove the girl to an unknown location, and raped her. The suspect may frequent the Mt. Zion Road area, between Ga. Highway 19-41 and Jonesboro Road, police said. Anyone who can identify the man in the sketch is asked to call Detective William Clendenen at (770) 477-3618. - Daniel SillimanMore like this story
