Spencer is a four year old, Tri-color Beagle/Jack Russell mix. He has been neutered and all vaccinations are current. Spencer joined the CCHS family when he was found wandering around the CCHS parking lot, most likely after having been "dumped" there by some uncaring person. He is a very sweet little boy, and he really seems to adore people. Unfortunately, he's not as fond of other animals, so Spencer will likely need to be an "only pet". Spencer appears to be housebroken. For more information, please call Clayton County Humane Society at 770/471-9436. Visit www.claytoncountyhumane.org to see other animals available for adoption.
Niko is a four and a half year old, domestic shorthair, gray and white tuxedo. He has been neutered and all vaccinations are current. Niko was living happily in his home, with his family and his cat-buddy, Tabitha. But then tragedy struck, and Niko's world was turned upside-down. A new baby was born into the family, and she was very ill. Shortly after birth, the baby had open-heart and her immune system was compromised. The doctor instructed the family to remove the pets from the home. Niko (and Tabitha) came to live at the CCHS shelter. It's always hard to see an animal have to come into a shelter, but it's really difficult to see one that has been loved and cared for in a home, suddenly thrust into a crowded, frightening shelter environment. Niko is a sweet, friendly boy who obviously enjoys human attention. He's fairly quiet and even-tempered, and would likely enjoy a calmer home. It will not be required, but he does well the cat that he came in with (Tabitha), and it would be wonderful if they could go home together. For more information, please call Robin at 770/478-7531.
