Shelly M. Baker

Shelley M. Baker, age 34, of Hampton, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007. She was born in Riverdale. She was preceded in death by her mother, Deborah F. Grizzard Adamson. Shelley was a devoted wife and loving mother. She will always be in our hearts.

Mrs. Baker is survived by her husband, Dwight Anthony Baker; daughter, Angel M. Baker; son, Jacob A. Baker, all of Hampton; father, James S. Adamson, Locust Grove; brother, Brad Adamson, Covington; sister, Kerri Williams, Locust Grove ; two nephews and four nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 14, at The Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Pastor Kirk and the Rev. Johnny Greer officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday, Oct. 13, from 4-7 p.m., at the funeral home. Frances H. Barden

Frances H. Barden, of Rex, passed away Oct. 10, 2007. She was retired from Bellsouth after 30 years of service.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 14, at the chapel, with the Rev. Tom Shannon officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m., at the funeral home.

She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Walden; son, Weldon Shadden, Jr.; brothers, W. L. Head and Grady Head; grandchildren, Lisa Cox and Chris Walden; and two great-grandchildren. Ms. Terri Ann Smith Phillips

Ms. Terri Ann Smith Phillips, 41, of McDonough, passed away Oct. 11, 2007. She was the daughter of Dr. Ben and Carolyn Smith, and was a legal assistant with the U. S. Attorney General's Office, and a member of Harvest Baptist Tabernacle.

Surviving are her parents, Dr. Ben and Carolyn Smith, of McDonough; maternal grandmother, Bertha Mae Ray, of Stockbridge; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tim and Maxine Smith, of Pinson, Ala., and Tracey and Hollye Smith, of Henderson, Nev.; sister and brother-in-law, Tricia and David Brown, of China; six nieces, two nephews, and numerous other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m., at Harvest Baptist Tabernacle, with Dr. Ben Smith, Rev. Tracey Smith and Dr. Joe Arthur officiating. Remains will be placed in state at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Birmingham, Ala., at 4 p.m. C.S.T.

Mr. Henry "Hank" Grilliot

Mr. Henry "Hank" Grilliot of Jonesboro passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Grilliot; daughters, Debra and Steven Seiple, Dublin, Ohio, Denise and Andrew Coard, Jewell, Ga., Diana and Timothy DeLangy, Lilburn, Ga,; brothers, Evan D. and Mary Lou Grilliot and family, Flint, Mich., Morten S. Grilliot, Flint, Mich.; grandchildren, Jason, Austin, Jessica, Kenneth, Christopher and Courtney; great grandchildren, Addison and Ava Claire; nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Mary McGonagill and family, Major and Lynn Martin and family. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007 at 1 p.m. from the chapel. Rev. Matthew Stewart and Father Gregory Hartmayer officiating. Interment Fairview.
