Robert C. Brock
Mr. Robert C. Brock, age 67, of Jonesboro, passed away Monday, Oc. 15, 2007 at his residence.
Mr. Brock was born Aug. 20, 1940 in Nashville, Tenn., son of the late Welton Brock and the late Pansy Couey Brock. He was a member of Lake Cindy First Baptist Church and was retired from BellSouth. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Claudette Brock of Jonesboro; daughters and sons-in-law, Diane Marie Willoughby, of Rex, Connie Lynn and Timothy Ellison, of Molena, Cynthia Renee and Brian Woods, of McDonough; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Ray and Lynn Willoughby, of Brooks; grandchildren, Jason, Amanda, Brandon, Brittanie, Katelyn, Samantha, Ashley, Brandon, Connor; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Coby, Clayton, Malorie and Gage.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m., in the Warren Haisten Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Ken Magness will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 6 - 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Edith H. Fleming
Edith H. Fleming, age 92, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 16, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter R. Fleming. She is survived by sons, Dwight (Dianna) Fleming, McDonough, and Barry (Kathy) Fleming, Dawsonville, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Matt (Emily) Fleming, Rachael (Troy) Satterfield, Ryan Pounds, Shawn Pounds, Lauren Pounds, Tyler Fleming, Neal Fleming, Nickole Perkins and Preston Fleming; four great-grandchildren, Caden and Hayes Fleming, and Teagan and Taylor Satterfield.
She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in McDonough, where she served faithfully until her health declined at age 90. She served as the Homebound Director and was always involved in missions. She spent 39 years employed as the church secretary for Orchard Knob Baptist Church in Atlanta. She was a volunteer for the Food Pantry, Meals on Wheels, The Red Cross, and was also a member of the auxillary at Southern Regional Hospital. She was a devoted mother and homemaker, who enjoyed spending time with her family and serving others.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 18, at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Al O'Quinn and Rev. Clarence Cannon officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 2 to 4 p.m., and 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Rufus Lawton Neal, Jr.
Rufus Lawton Neal, Jr., age 90, of St. Cloud, Fla., formerly of Forest Park, passed away Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007. Mr. Neal was a WWII veteran, retired from General Motors and Charter Member of Ash Street Baptist Church, where he taught Bible Study for many years. He and his wife lived in Forest Park for over 50 years, while raising their three children. They relocated to St. Cloud in September 2006.
Mr. Neal was predeceased in April by Ruby, his loving wife of 65 years. He was also predeceased by his son, Robert Neal and daughter, Connie Mize. He is survived by a daughter, Wanda Benitez (Jose), of St. Cloud, Fla.; six grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, whom he adored; sisters, Bernice Matkovich and Mary Mills, both of Pooler, Ga.; brother, Charles Neal, of McRae, Ga., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m., (in state at 1 p.m.) at Ash Street Baptist Church, with Dr. Randy Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at Camp Memorial Park in Fayetteville, Ga. Family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 18, from 2-4 p.m., and 6-8 p.m., at Ward's Parkway Chapel. Horis A.
