Wayne Appleton

Mr. Wayne Appleton, of Hampton, passed away Oct. 26, 2007 at the age of 58.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 1, at 1 PM, at Laster Chapel United Methodist Church, in College Park, with interment to follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Appleton, of Clayton County, and son, Keith Nance and wife Dawn, of Alabama; daughters, Kamesha Thomas and husband Jermaine of Clayton County, Saundra Appleton, Savanti Appleton, Karolyn Appleton, all of Clayton County; grandchildren, Krystofer, Erica, Miciah, Ali; great-grandchild, Isiah, and goddaughter, Kim Mobley and husband, Likinski.

Mr. Appleton was a member of Laster Chapel United Methodist Church, College Park. He will lie in state at the church from 11 a.m., to 1 p.m.

Gary Wayne Bishop

Funeral services for Gary Wayne Bishop, 49, of McDonough, will be at 3:30 PM Thursday, Nov. 1, from Ward's Fairview Chapel, with the Rev. Paul Leslie officiating. Interment to follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Bishop died Oct. 29, 2007. He was part owner of Bishop Brothers Used Cars & Trucks.

He is survived by his son, Gary Paul Bishop, of McDonough; brother, Ron Bishop, of Atlanta; uncle, Joe Lee Bishop, of Winder; brother-in-law, Bill Remmark ,of Jackson; nieces, Melissa Morris, of Jackson, Kim Strickland, of McDonough, Angie Lambert, of Sharpsburg, Hannah Harmon, of Alpharetta, Amanda Harmon, of Newnan; nephew, Kody Harmon, of Marietta.

The family will receive friends Tuesday and Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m., at Horis A. Ward-Fairview Chapel.

Catherine R. Hannay

Catherine R. Hannay, age 91, of Stockbridge, died Oct. 29, 2007, at the home of her nephew in Manchester, Ga. She was the oldest of seven children and a nurse until she was married in 1947 to Frank Hannay who preceded her in death in 1997.

She is survived by one brother, Byron and (Dorothy) Reddoch, Brindige, Ala.; two sisters-in-law, Joanne Reddoch, of Troy, Ala., and Sue Reddoch, of Manchester, Ga. Also many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., TODAY (Wednesday, Oct. 31) from Ward's Fairview Chapel. Dr. H. Dean Haun will officiate. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to services. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Horis A. Ward-Fairview Chapel, (770) 474-1231.

Earl A. Powell

Earl A. Powell, age 84, of Jackson, Monday, Oct. 29, 2007. He was born in Troy, Ala., to the late Otis and Ianther Baker Powell. Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Powell. He retired from Southern Bell where he was Safety Director. He was also a member of the Shriner's.

Mr. Powell is survived by his brother, John C. Powell, Stockbridge; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1p.m., on Thursday, Nov. 1, at The Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with the Rev. Dana Everhart officiating. A private interment will follow.
