Peanut is a 9 year old domestic shorthair tortie. She has been spayed and all vaccinations are current. Peanut originally came to the CCHS shelter when her elderly "mom" passed away. Peanut was living at the shelter for a very long time before a very nice couple came and adopted her. They already had other cats at their home and after months of trying to make everyone "play nice", they realized that all of the cats just could not get along, so Peanut was returned to CCHS. Peanut did not like being returned to the cat room, so she hid constantly. Once Peanut was moved to the office area, and allowed to be an office cat, she just seemed to "bloom". She's a very sweet, affectionate cat and just seems to adore people. Peanut needs a new home and family who will truly commit to letting her live out her remaining years in a permanent, loving environment. For more information, please call Robin at 770/478-7531. Visit www.claytoncountyhumane.org to see other animals available for adoption.

Clayton schools going back to the basics - Altimese Dees
I don't know about you, but I feel better about Clayton County Schools now that Dr. Gloria Duncan has been appointed Interim Superintendent of Schools. Dr. Duncan has been in the county for over 30 years, so she knows what the issues are. In fact, she most recently served as principal for Riverdale High School.
