Peanut is a 9 year old domestic shorthair tortie. She has been spayed and all vaccinations are current. Peanut originally came to the CCHS shelter when her elderly "mom" passed away. Peanut was living at the shelter for a very long time before a very nice couple came and adopted her. They already had other cats at their home and after months of trying to make everyone "play nice", they realized that all of the cats just could not get along, so Peanut was returned to CCHS. Peanut did not like being returned to the cat room, so she hid constantly. Once Peanut was moved to the office area, and allowed to be an office cat, she just seemed to "bloom". She's a very sweet, affectionate cat and just seems to adore people. Peanut needs a new home and family who will truly commit to letting her live out her remaining years in a permanent, loving environment. For more information, please call Robin at 770/478-7531. Stryker is a 5 year old Cocker Spaniel mix. He has been neutered and all vaccinations are current. Stryker came to live at the CCHS shelter when his former family surrendered him, stating that they had "lost interest" and were now "too busy" for poor Stryker. The only home and family he had ever known, had now walked out on him. He's outgoing and very sweet, and was raised with children. He's a great dog who just needs to find a family who will truly love him for the rest of his life. For more information, please call Clayton County Humane Society at 770/471-9436.
