Earl Victor Edwards
Mr. Earl Victor Edwards, age 89 of McDonough, passed away April 5, 2008 at the Sacred Journey Hospice. He was born in Alabama to the late William and Emma Ella Idella Barnett Edwards and was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. He served his country in the United States Navy during WWII; was retired after 20 years with the American Can Company and enjoyed his fishing trips. Survivors include his wife of almost 63 years, Louise Cater Edwards of McDonough; sons, Richard (Nina) Edwards of McDonough, David (Sheila) Edwards of Tallahassee, Fla., Greg (Pamela) Edwards of Senoia; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 7, 2008 at 11 a.m.. from Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro. Chaplain Don Dailey will officiate. Friends may visit the family Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sacred Journey Hospice, 138 Peach Drive, McDonough, Ga., 30253 in memory of Mr. Edwards. Chris Potter, age 37 of McDonough, passed away on April 2, 2008. Chris is survived by his wife Delores Potter; daughter, Sierra Britt; son, Bryant Potter; sister, Sandra Davis; and several nieces and nephews.
