Hazel Etheridge

Hazel Etheridge, age 84, of Riverdale, passed away Wednesday, April 09, 2008. She was a member of Ash Street Baptist Church in Forest Park.

Hazel is survived by her daughter, Carla Peek of Sharpsburg; sons, Pat Etheridge of Hampton, S. David Etheridge of Rex, Mark A. Etheridge of Monticello; sister, Ann Stallings of Atlanta; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 11, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Ward's Parkway Chapel with the Rev. Joe Mauthe officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Forest Park. David V. Sanders

David V. Sanders, 65, of Rex, Ga., passed away April 2, 2008 at Emory Healthcare. He is survived by his son, David S. and Deborah Sanders of McDonough, Ga., and two grandchildren, Allison and Elizabeth. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Hapeville United Methodist Church with Rebecca Jones officiating. Bobby E. Early

Bobby E. Early, age 78, of Jonesboro, Ga. died Wednesday, March 26, 2008. He was born in Fairview, N.C. to the late Dwight Gladstone and Rosa Norman Early. He was preceded in death by his wife Patsy Ruth Early; brothers, Billy T. Early, Jack P. Early, Dwight G. Early, Sr., and a special friend, Juanita Comer with whom he spent 16 years with. Mr. Early attended Jonesboro United Methodist Church. He served 21 years in the Air Force, was very patriotic and very proud of serving in the Military. He retired from Northwest Airlines and became involved with different senior groups and was always on the go. He loved to square dance, enjoyed golfing, traveling, and doing things with his friends. But most of all he loved his family. Early is survived by his daughter, Deborah J. Early, Hendersonville, N.C.; sisters, Lillie Early Fite, Fairview, N.C., Nancy E. Worley and Judy M. Camby, both of Swannanoa, N.C.; brothers, Donald Early, Ashville, N.C., Jerry Early, Raleigh, N.C., Richard Early, Pisgah Forest, N.C. Also surviving is a special friend, Dot Von Kamp with whom he spent the past 5 years. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Jonesboro United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Robinson officiating. Carl A. Mason, Jr.

Carl A. Mason, Jr. passed away on April 2, 2008. He worked in the metal recycling business for 45 years. He is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Humphrey; sons, Mark C. Mason and Eric D. Best; daughters, Pamela E. Jinks, Vicky L. Sims, and Melody A. Day; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three nephews and two nieces. William "Lowell" Akin

William "Lowell" Akin of Morrow, passed away April 7, 2008 at Southern Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his daughter, Joy King of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; sons, Danny Akin of Wake Forest, N.C. and Sammy Akin of Jackson, Ga.; sisters, Ruth Campbell of McDonough, Ga.; Linda McSwain of Dallas, Tex.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro with Dr. Danny Akin officiating.
