Pets of the Week - April 10, 2008

Clay is one and a half year old Miniature Pinscher.  He has been neutered and all vaccinations are current.  Clay was surrendered by his former family when they decided that they could no longer properly care for him.  He is very friendly and playful, and he is doing very well with his housebreaking lessons.  Due to his small size, he will not be adopted into a home with small children.  For more information, please call Clayton County Humane Society at 770/471-9436.  Visit www.claytoncountyhumane.org to see other animals available for adoption.

Chana (named for a river in Thailand) is an absolutely gorgeous Siamese cat.  She is between one and two years old.  She has been spayed and fully vaccinated.  Poor Chana was found shivering and cowering in a cage at Animal Control.  Having no space at the CCHS shelter, Chana has been fostering at the home of a CCHS staffer.  In this home, it was quickly recognized that Chana is a cat who needs to be an "only cat".  She does not do well with other cats, BUT she is an angel with people.  She is extremely loving and friendly, and begs for attention.  She is an excellent cat and will make an excellent companion in a home where there are no other cats.  Anyone interested in adoption should contact Robin at 770/478-7531.  Visit www.claytoncountyhumane.org to see other animals available for adoption.
