As the high school baseball season gets down to the final few weeks, three teams in the Southern Crescent will strive to hold on to state rankings in the gasports.com coaches' poll.

In Class AAAAA action, Mundy's Mill keeps winning, but dropped from fourth to sixth in this week's coaches' poll. The Tigers, who joined the state rankings for the first time in school history earlier this year, are 13-1.

Mundy's Mill has won six games in a row, including Monday night's 1-0 Region 4-AAAAA win against Newnan.

The Tigers return to the diamond today at 5:55 when they entertain Paulding County.

Henry County is hoping to make another run at a Class AAA state title.

The Warhawks held on to their No. 7-ranking in this week's coaches' poll.

Henry County is 10-3 overall.

The Warhawks defeated Spalding County Monday night in a Region 4-AAA game.

Jamal Mann picked up the win with five strikeouts. Blake Newalu had three strikeouts, pitching in relief.

He also drove in a run with his bat.

Travious Harris paced the offense with a 2-for-3 effort.

The Warhawks get back to action on Friday at home against Ola.

The Eagle's Landing Christian Academy baseball team is ranked fifth in the Class A poll. The Chargers dropped two spots in this week's poll.

The Chargers came into Tuesday's game against Whitefield Academy with a 14-3 overall record. The Chargers won 12 games in a row, before falling last week to North Florida Christian Academy during their spring break trip to the Sunshine State.

The Chargers return home Thursday for a Region 5-A game against Whitefield Academy.

In the first meeting between the two teams this year, ELCA beat Whitefield 10-0.
