Howard Leonard Hensley, Jr.

Howard Leonard Hensley, Jr., 54, of Morrow, passed away, Friday, Aug. 1, 2008. He served in the U.S. Army and was currently employed as a diesel mechanic for the U.S. Postal Service.

Mr. Hensley is survived by his wife, Donna Brown Hensley; daughters, Kristina (Brandon) Boggs, of Valdosta, Elizabeth Hensley, of Morrow; granddaughter, Emily Boggs; mother, brother and nephew, Bessie Hensley, Paul Hensley and Paul Hensley, Jr., all of Newcomerstown, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held TODAY, Aug. 5, at 10 a.m., at Ward's Parkway Chapel. Mr. Hensley's remains will be transported to Keller Funeral Home, 1236 Myers St., Dunbar, W.Va., (304) 768-1217, and interment will take place at Grandview Cemetery in Dunbar. Horis A. Mr. James "Rock" Dye

Feb. 23, 1943 - Aug. 3, 2008

Mr. James "Rock" Dye, 65, of Stockbridge, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008 at the Henry Medical Center.

Mr. Dye was born in Spalding County on Feb. 23, 1943. He was retired from Delta Air Lines as a Fuel Farm Attendant and was a member of Second Baptist Church of Griffin. He was a Veteran of the United States Army stationed in Okinawa, Japan on a Nike Hercules Missile Battery.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Olivia B. Dye; children, Patrick James Dye, Adrianne Dye, Susan Dye; grandchildren, Mikayla Dye, Avery Dye; mother, Emmie Mae Dye; cousins, Steve Jinks, Joel and Debra Jinks, Lynn Carnes, Macy Crowe; aunt, Juanita Richardson.

Funeral services for Mr. James "Rock" Dye will be conducted on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The Rev. Buddy Norton and the Rev. Johnny Hastings will officiate. Friends may visit the family Tuesday afternoon from 1- 4 p.m., and Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Lorene Nancy Maze

Mrs. Lorene Nancy Maze, 85, of McDonough, passed away Monday, Aug. 4, 2008 at the Westbury Medical Care Home. She was born in Cullman, Ala., to the late Sam J. and Rinthia Bailey Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge C. Maze, in 1989 and by brothers, Lowell and Frederick Williams. Lorene worked for many years at Zack's Big Buy Grocery, Chafin's Cleaners and the Night Owl. She attended Oakland Baptist Church and enjoyed her plants and flowers.

Survivors include her sister, Ethel Hallman, of Cullman, Ala.; many nieces and nephews; caregiver's and friends, Charles and Terri Vickery, of McDonough.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Aug. 6, at 11 a.m., from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Interment will follow at McDonough City Cemetery. Mrs. Carrie Waters-Lord, 91, passed away, Aug. 2, 2008. Ford-Stewart Funeral Home, Inc., Jonesboro/Stockbridge is in charge of the arrangements.

Ronnie Lee Stell

Ronnie Lee Stell, 59, of Stockbridge, Ga., died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008. He was born on March 18, 1949 in Atlanta. Mr. Stell loved his chocolate candy, lime sherbert, playing games, and always wanted to learn new things. He loved the Lord and was a loving husband, father and granddaddy. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Collier.

Mr. Stell is survived by his wife, Betty, of Stockbridge; daughters, Cindy Lynn (Kyle) Swope, of Ellenwood, and Christy Renee (Doug) Kubach, of Kathleen; grandchildren, Annabelle, Cameron and Courtney; uncles, Ronald Lowery, Clarance Lowery, and Amos Lowery.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m., on Thursday, Aug. 7, at The Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors.
