Melisa Oliver

Mrs. Melisa Oliver, 39, of Jackson, passed away, Aug. 6, 2008. She was preceded in death by her grandparaents, Mary Powers, Ernest E. Warnock, Sr., and Darvin N. Powers.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley Oliver; parents, Roger and Deborah Powers, of South Port, N.C.; brother, Mark Powers, of South Port, N.C.; grandmother, Jane R. Warnock, of Vicksburg, Miss.; father-in-law and mother-in-law; B.J. Marcum; nieces and nephews, Amanda, Joshua, Neva, and various aunts, uncles, friends and family.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 9, at 6 p.m., in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5-6 p.m., at the funeral home. Daniel Patrick Stephenson

Mr. Dan Stephenson, of Clayton County, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008 at a convalescence home located in Molina, Ga.

Mr Stephenson was born Feb. 7, 1959, in Hialeah, Fla. He was a graduate of Forest Park High School in 1977. He was the son of the late Charlie Ray Stephenson, of McDonough, Ga. Mr. Stephenson is survived by his mother, Mrs Jean Stephenson, of McDonough; sisters, Mary Duffey, of McDonough, and Michelle Wilkerson, of Jackson; brother, David Stephenson, of Griffin.

Mr Stephenson has extended family and friends from the area. Mrs. Lynn Purcell and Wesley Purcell will be having services for Mr. Stephenson at 3 p.m., on Sunday, Aug. 10, at the Cottonfields Golf Club, located at 400 Industrial Blvd., McDonough, Ga. A donation in lieu of gifts should be given to the American Liver Society.

Ronald Stephen Parker

Ronald Stephen Parker, 62, passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008 at his home in Forest Park. Mr. Parker was self-employed in drywall. He is survived by his wife, Gail Parker; daughter, Rhonda (Kevin) Upton, of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Samantha Upton, Chase Upton; brother, Ricky (Sandy) Parker, of Alabama; sisters, Sandy (Bobby) Latham, of Henry County, Jackie (Bobby) Partin, of Conley, and Judy Lewis.
