Pets of the Week - Aug. 14, 2008

Storm is a 3 month old West Highland Terrier (Westie). This precious little boy was dumped at Animal Control when his family decided that a dog was too much trouble to be included in their move to a new home. Storm is a really sweet little baby, and he has tons of typical puppy energy. He will be fully vetted prior to adoption. For more information, please call Clayton County Humane Society at 770/471-9436. Visit www.claytoncountyhumane.org to see other animals available for adoption.

Candice is a one year old, gray and white domestic shorthair. Candice has been spayed and fully vaccinated. Candice was living as a stray, and a CCHS volunteer was keeping an eye on her and making sure that she had food and water. But when neighbors started to complain about the homeless cat, our volunteer feared for her safety and decided to turn her over to CCHS. At first glance, Candice appears to be a kitten of somewhere around 4-5 months old, but upon examination by a veterinarian, it was found that this petite sweetie is actually closer to being a year old. The vet has assured CCHS that there is nothing physically wrong with her; she's just a small cat. (She's been nicknamed "the Peter Pan kitty" because she'll never grow up!) She's a very quiet, sweet-natured little girl, and would likely do best in a calm, quiet home. For more information, please call Robin at 770/478-7531.
