Wilbur Guy "Bill" Reed
Wilbur Guy "Bill" Reed, age 79 of Stockbridge, Ga., died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008. He was born in Chicago, Ill. to the late Guy and Margaret Litwitz Reed. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Eugenie Reed.
Mr. Reed served our country with the Army during the 50s and then served with the Navy with 26 years of service. He also was the Dean of the Dental Dept. for Clayton State until he retired in 1992. Mr. Reed enjoyed aircraft shows and helping to rescue greyhounds. He was known for taking his greyhound Cory to nursing homes to help other people.
Mr. Reed is survived by his children; Timothy Stephen Reed, McDonough, Ga., Deborah Lynn Reed, Oakland, Calif., and Geoff & Jennifer Reed, Locust Grove, Ga.; grandsons, Fletcher Thomas Reed, Mitch Reed.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Camp Memorial Park with Rev. Dana Everhart officiating. The family will received friends Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Greyhound Rescue of Georgia. Those who wish may sign the
