The Jonesboro volleyball team put its No. 8 state ranking on the line with victories against Clayton County rivals Forest Park and Mt. Zion.

The Lady Cardinals beat the Lady Panthers 25-21 and 25-14 and Mt. Zion 25-10 and 25-11.

Dutchtown Volleyball

The Dutchtown Bulldogs beat Druid Hills 25-13, 25-12 and Eagle's Landing 25-13 and 25-16. They lost to Lithia Springs 25-23 and 28-26.

Middle School Football

Babb 46, Riverdale 0:

The Babb Middle School football team improvd to 2-0 on the season with a 46-0 victory over Riverdale.

Babb relied on big plays by both the offense and the defense en route the victory.

Chris Hadley accounted for plays on the ground and through the air.

Hadley caught a 45-yard TD pass from Rod Craft and scored on runs of 75 and 35 yards.

Deandre Slaughter also got into the scoring act.

The Babb defense was led by Marcus Cullians, Aldrich Cain, and DaMond Williams.

Lovejoy 26, Kendrick 12: Lovejoy moved to 2-0 on the season and Kendrick dropped to 0-2.

Lovejoy led 26-0 until Terrell Ard scored two late TDs to close the gap.

No details were reported for Lovejoy.

Defensively for Kendrick, Khamad Magwood and Dee Washington led the way.
