Jonesboro High School to be featured on CBS TV-46

Thursday

The Clayton County judiciary will host a Community Gang Awareness Forum, in partnership with local law enforcement agencies, government and school system officials, and religious leaders on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m., at Mundy's Mill High School, 9652 Fayetteville Road, Jonesboro.

Friday

CBS TV-46's Better Mornings Atlanta program will be at Jonesboro High School on Friday, Dec. 5, to announce Jonesboro as this week's "Cool School." The program airs from 5 a.m., to 7 a.m., on channel 9.

Monday

The Clayton County Board of Education will hold its December business meeting on Monday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m., at the school system's Central Administration Complex, 1058 Fifth Ave., Jonesboro.

The United States Air Force recently announced that Airman Chanice R. Rosser, a 2007 graduate of Mundy's Mill High School, has graduated from a six-week basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. During her training, Rosser studied the Air Force mission; core values; military customs and courtesies; rifle marksmanship; field training exercises, and received special training in human relations. Airmen who complete basic training also earn credits toward an associate in applied science degree relating through the Community College of the Air Force. Rosser is the daughter of Tracy Gardner, and niece of Mellone Gardner, both of Jonesboro.
