North Clayton extended its winning streak to four with a 67-52 victory over Region 4-AAAA foe Mt. Zion Saturday.
Jeffrey Newberry led the way with 20 points for North Clayton (6-1, 5-1). Torian Box added 11.
North Clayton will try to keep its winning streak going tomorrow when it plays at Ola High School in another league game.
Lovejoy 68, Morrow 57: Morris Mitchell led four Wildcats in double-figures with 18 points to lead the Wildcats past Morrow in a Region 4-AAAAA game Saturday.
Leroy Merrett added 13 points for Lovejoy, while Lou Joseph had 12 and Kelvin Echols scored 10.
Morrow (6-3, 1-3) couldn't overcome the loss of starters Sean Stringfellow and De'Andre Smith to injuries. Tony Dukes had a game-high 28 points for the Mustangs and Josh Davis added 11, as Morrow lost its third-straight.
Forest Park 70, Stockbridge 56: The Panthers overcame a game-high 24 points from Stockbridge's Chris Davis in its victory over the Tigers in a Region 4-AAAA game Saturday.
Dante Campbell had his second double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds for Stockbridge (6-3, 3-2).
Morrow won consecutive games for the first time this season with a 52-36 victory over Lovejoy in a Region 4-AAAAA game Saturday.
Chatil Bradford led the way with 16 points for the Lady Mustangs (4-3, 3-1), while Katamara Maxwell added 11.
Morrow has won three of its last four since struggling in its season-opening Arrowhead Classic Thanksgiving Tournament.
