Jeffery Marvin Smith

Jeffery Marvin Smith, 34, of Ellenwood, passed away, Dec. 15, 2008. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Edwin Smith. He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Zan Smith, of Ellenwood; sister, Cynthia Smith, of Ellenwood; grandparents, Willie J. Smith and Maybelle Brown, both of Jonesboro; aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 18, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Pastor Garry Keith Brantley will officiate.Interment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.

Raymond Sanford Garber, Jr.

Raymond Sanford Garber, Jr., 76, of Jonesboro, died Dec. 15, 2008. He was a member of the American Legion Post #258.

He is survived by his children, Dawn Garber, of Jonesboro, Valerie Carver, of Locust Grove, Beth Bell, of Forest Park, Stan Garber, of Warner Robins; brother, David Garber, of Athens; loving companion of eight years, Dorothy Neal; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Friday, Dec. 19, at 2 p.m.. at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Dec. 18, from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
