Eva Lois Weaver

Mrs. Eva Lois Weaver, 80, of Jonesboro, passed away, Dec. 22, 2008. She was an avid reader and loved to cook.She attended Bethel Baptist Church and Wednesday mornings Bible study class. She loved shopping at flea markets.

She is survived by her children; David P. Weaver, of Brattleboro, Vt., Nancy Woods, of Greenfield, Mass., Renee Haley, of Phillipston, Mass.; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 7 p.m., in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. The Rev. Don McElhanon will officiate. Lt. Col. James Willis Randolph

Lt. Col. James Willis Randolph, U.S. Army-Retired, died Dec. 23, 2008. He proudly served his country as an Army Officer and Army Aviator for 27 years.

He is survived by Janet Preston Randolph, his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, of Jonesboro; son, James W. Randolph, Jr., of Huntsville, Ala.; daughters, JoAnn Parrott (John), of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., and JoAlice Moe (Kelly). of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandson, Nels Moe; sister, Betty Lou White, of Huntsville, Ala., as well as nieces and nephews.

No funeral service is planned. Interment was at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Ga. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to Noah's Ark Animal Rehabilitation Center, 712 LG Griffin Road, Locust Grove, Ga., 30248-4317.

D. Lynette Williams

Miss D. Lynette Williams, 67, of Jonesboro, died on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008.

Memorial services are scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 1, at 1 p.m., at Pope Dickson & Son-Morrow Chapel, with Dr. Larry Burns officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m., until service time.

She is survived by her sisters, Chrystol Marchant, of McDonough, and Ann Ponikarski, of Jonesboro; brother, Steven A. Williams, of Forest Park; and sister-in-law, Darby Williams, of Forest Park, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Willow N. Haney

Willow N. Haney, 91, of Riverdale, passed away Dec. 26, 2008. Mrs. Haney was born in Gilmer County, Ga., on July 30, 1917, to the late Austin J. and Bessie Holden Plumley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Haney; son, Budd Haney; grandsons, Alan and Harry.

Mrs. Haney is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ella Mae and Derol Nation, of Riverdale; sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and JoAnn Haney, of Temple, Jim Haney, Danny and Connie Haney, of Riverdale; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Haney, of Moss Point, Miss.; eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene and Jean Pumley, of Conyers, Ga., Archie and Jean Plumley, of Powder Springs; sister-in-law, Donna Plumley, of Powder Springs, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 11a.m., Monday, Dec. 29, in the chapel of Horis A. Ward, Tara Chapel, with Pastor Joe Hughes officiating. Interment followed at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Robert McMonigle

Robert "Robby" Gordon McMonigle, 44, of Riverdale, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008. He was preceded in death by his father, Rex C. McMonigle.

He is survived by his mother, Kathleen M. McMonigle, of Riverdale; sister, Donna (Steve) Johnson, of McDonough; nephew, Gregory Boone Cunningham, of McDonough; nieces, Hayley Jonae Cunningham, of McDonough, and Brittany D. Johnson, of Stockbridge; great-niece, Amelie Jayne Cunningham, of McDonough; one grandmother, and numerous aunts and uncles.

David W. Hull

David W. Hull passed away Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008 at his home in Morrow. He married Doris (Janssen) Nov. 23, 1961. She survives, as does their four children, Dean (Pamela) Hull, of Westville, Ill., Deon (Debra) Hull, of Kingston, Ill., Dee (David) Ramsay, of Bolingbrook, Ill., and Dayle (Hull) Adams, of Phoenix, Ariz.

He was blessed with 7 grandchildren: Jessica (Robert) Dahlenburg, of Danville, Ill., Cpl. Michael Hull, of USMC Miramar Marine Corps Air Station Calif., Peter, William, and Steven Hull, of Kingston, Ill., and Mary and Micah Ramsay, of Bolingbrook, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard "Heyboy" and Selma Hull of Buckley, Ill., and his siblings, Beverly, Alan and Robert.

He is survived by six brothers and sisters, James (Diane) Hull, of Buckley, Ill., Eileen (William) Schiewe, of Pittsfield, Ill.,, Larry Hull of Hurst, Texas, Diana (Roy) Cordes, of Kankakee, Ill., Betty Hull, of Buckley, Ill., and Kay (Darrell) Horn, of Dieterch, Ill.

Dave was born Aug. 21, 1937 in Buckley, Ill. He attended St. John's Lutheran school, and graduated from Buckley-Loda High School in 1955. He played baseball for the Dutchmasters. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959, stationed in Germany from 1986 to 1988. He was a "Rowdy Roadie" for the Morrow High School Band.

He enjoyed writing, reading, aviation and all things history-related. Several of his articles were printed in the Paxton Record. Some of his favorite activities included the Tuesday Morning "Toast" master club, served with bacon and eggs, and his closet friends. A sportsman, himself, he loved all things baseball and hockey. Mostly he enjoyed watching his own children and grandchildren participate in the sports he loved.

His family was a priority, and he often had to call a "Time Out" when his team became a little rambunctious. He worked many years for Eastern Airlines at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, Ill. He was transferred to Hartsfield International Airport, Atlanta, Ga., in 1983. He retired from DHL after 10 years of service. He now rests comfortably in the arms of his Savior.

A memorial service was held in his honor at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Riverdale, Ga., Dec. 29, at 7:30 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Buckley, Ill., on Jan. 2. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Walcamp Outdoor Ministries, or Holy Cross Computer fund, or an organization of your choice.
