Mr. Roy D. Aaron

Mr. Roy D. Aaron, 67 of Griffin, passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008 at Sacred Journey Hospice in McDonough.
Mr. Aaron was born Aug. 15, 1940 in Pensacola, Fla., the son of the late Roy C. Aaron and Clara Shurette Aaron. He was retired from Fashion Industries of Griffin. He was a Veteran having served in the Navy during The Cuban Mission Crisis.
Survivors include his four children; son and daughter-in-law, Donivan M. Aaron and Greta Aaron, of McDonough; son and daughter-in-law, Wesley S. and Robin Aaron, of McDonough; daughter, Ashley N. Aaron, of Barnesville; son, Christopher T. Aaron, of Barnesville; grandchildren, Chloe Aaron, Jonah Aaron, Peter Aaron, Lee Aaron, of McDonough, and Owen Aaron, of McDonough; brother, Cecil Aaron and his wife, Ann Aaron, of Griffin; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Aaron will be conducted Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The Rev. Doug Rife will officiate. Interment will follow in the Veterans section of Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sacred Journey Hospice, or to a charity of your choice, in memory of Mr. Aaron.

Mr. Clinton H. Roberts

Mr. Clinton H. Roberts, 61, of Griffin, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008.
Mr. Roberts was born in Upson County on May 26, 1946 to the late Buford M. Roberts and the late Hattie E. (Sis) Miller Roberts. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and attended Griffin First Assembly of God. Mr. Roberts was a former Spalding County Sherriff's Deputy, had formerly worked at Spalding Ford, and was a former shriner.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Linda Smith Roberts; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Jeff Zellers, of Stockbridge, Denise and Clause Von Stauffenberg, of Texas; god-daughter, Layla Clark, of Griffin; step-daughter and her husband, Sandy and Tye Walker, of Griffin, step-son and his wife, Clint and Kim Smith, of Senoia; sister, Cora James, of Dallas; brother, Harold Roberts, of Griffin; sister, Reba Phillips, of Griffin; 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Clinton Roberts will be conducted on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 11a.m., in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Dr. Randy Valimont will officiate. Entombment will follow in Westwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m., and 7-9 p.m., at the funeral home. Leslie Moore, 39, of Stockbridge, passed away Feb. 9, 2008.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Moore, Sr.; seven children, Lawrence Moore, Jr., Emmanuel Moore, Jeremiah Moore, Christopher Moore, Martin Moore, Malcolm Moore and Jayla Moore, all of Stockbridge; mother, Mildred Gladwin, of New York; sister, Stephanie Harris, of New York; brother, Eric Pierce, of New York, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Thursday, Feb. 14, at The Greenforest Community Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Senior Pastor Dennis Mitchell and Executive Pastor Herman Cody will officiate. Interment will be in the Fairview Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends at the Fairview Chapel of Horis A. Ward from 11a.m., to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13. Robert "Bob" Trenck
Robert "Bob" Trenck, age 61, of McDonough, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008. He was born in Victoria, Texas to the late Reinhardt B. and Maggie Files Trenck. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Allison Trenck. Mr. Trenck retired from the U.S. Army in 1989 after 22 years of service. He continued his federal employment as a Military Plans Analyst at U.S. Army Forces Command headquartered in Atlanta.
Mr. Trenck is survived by his wife, Linda N. Trenck; McDonough; son, Brian Trenck, Lawrenceville; daughter, Stacy (Allen) Creech, McDonough; grandson, Andrew Creech, McDonough; brother, E.P. (Theresa) Trenck, Victoria, Texas; and sister, Billie Faye (Wayne) Marshall, Victoria, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13, at St. James The Apostle Catholic Church, with Father John Murphy officiating. Arneeta Ambrose Lynn
Arneeta Ambrose Lynn, of Stockbridge, formerly of Manassas, Va., and Gainesville, Fla., passed away on Feb. 10, 2008. She was born on Aug. 4, 1935 in Suwannee County, Fla. She was a devout Christian and retired from the Federal Government with 30 years of service.
She is survived by her daughter, Marcia Kimberly Rhodes, Rex; and grandsons, Joseph Rhodes, Jonesboro, and Clinton Rhodes, Rex; and one sister, Merceta Ambrose, of Gainesville, Fla.
A memorial service will be held at Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends Wednesday two hours prior to the service, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Gainesville, Fla., under the direction of Milam Funeral Home at Evergreen Cemetery, with graveside services on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008. Curtis "Lloyd" Tarpley
Curtis "Lloyd" Tarpley, of Stockbridge, passed away Feb. 11, 2008 at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Tarpley, of Stockbridge; daughter, Diane and Joey Goodroe, of Austin, Texas; daughter-in-law, Nina Adair; grandchildren, Anna, Hunter, Seth, Katelyn, James, Andrew, John Michael, Grace.
Mr. Tarpley was predeceased by his son, Joel Tarpley.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 14, at 11a.m., at the Jonesboro First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Charles Robinson and the Rev. Kyle Smith officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 13, from 4-8 p.m.. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, make contributions to Jonesboro First United Methodist Church Orchestra or General Church fund.
