Yvonne Moore, 59, of Hampton, died Thursday, Feb. 14. She was born at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., to the late Arbith Darzell Erquitt and Clara Louise Duncan. Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband, Larry Moore, of Hampton; daughters, Phyllis (Darrell) Johnson, McDonough; Mechelle (Ken) Thomason, Fayetteville; grandchildren, David and Elizabeth Johnson, Will and Hannah Thomason; brothers, Dewayne Erquitt, Lagrange, Ga., Bob Steers, Sharpsburg, Ga., Gerald Steers, Stockbridge, Ga; sisters, Bonnie Bledsoe, Jackson, Ga. and Caren New, Hampton.
Funeral services will be held at 1p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, at The Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Pastor Mike Burge and Pastor Sam LaLaian officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 15, 2-4 p.m., and 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home. Cynthia Ann Alexander
Cynthia Ann Alexander, 73, of McDonough, passed away Feb. 13, 2008. She was retired as head bookkeeper from the DeKalb County Courthouse and was a charter member of Jodeco Baptist Church where she was director of music for many years.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Mac Alexander; son and daughter-in-law, Arthur McDonald and Caroline Alexander, of Dadeville, Ala.; three grandchildren, Christy Alexander, of Duluth, Mac and Kelly Alexander, of Opelika, Ala., and Seth Alexander, of Dadeville, Ala.; three great-grandchildren, Skyelar, Aydan Michael, and Baileigh Noel, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, at Jodeco Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ralph Wade officiating. Entombment will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, McDonough. Arthur W. Vickrey
Arthur W. Vickrey, 60, of McDonough, passed away Feb. 13. He was born in Pensacola, Fla., the son of the late Ebbie Lee Jordan and Arthur W. Vickrey, Sr. He was a dedicated teacher with the Clayton County School System and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, who enjoyed his family, friends and teaching.
Survivors are his wife 38 of years, Carolyn Vickrey, of McDonough; son and girlfriend, Billy Vickrey and Tania Oxenburg, of McDonough; grandson, Alex Vickrey, of Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb. 17, 2 p.m., in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dan McKay officiating. Interment will be at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park in McDonough.
