Hildria Dyian Fann
Hildria Dyian Fann, the only daughter of the late Lois and Hildridge Fowler, beloved mother of four, grandmother and great-grandmother of many and friend to all, passed away Dec. 30, 2007 in her daughter's home in Locust Grove, after battling liver cancer.
For six decades she traveled and lived across the country enjoying different careers. Her most rewarding was working with the elderly for 11 years in Delray Beach, Fla. Throughout her life, Dyian took great pride in helping others. She will be most remembered for her generosity, kindness and sense of humor. She loved her family deeply and will be missed terribly.
Dyian is survived by her children, Michelle Smith, Kimberly Boruty, Dionne Garcia and Sean Garcia; son and daughters-in-law, Kimberly Garcia, Traci Romero and Steve Pack; sister, Sheila Jenkins; grandchildren, Bryan Pack, Jennifer McGuirk, Nicole, Sean M., Brandon and Ramone Garcia, Blake Baron, Marisa Dalton, Amanda Jones and Austin Faulkener; five great-grandchildren; two great-aunts, a great-uncle and dozens of cousins and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 5, at 2 p.m., at Christ Covenant Church, located at 109 Hibernia Ave., Decatur, Ga., 30030. (404) 373-2933. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Friday, Jan. 4, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday before 1 p.m.
Mr. Coleman Johnson, 92, of McDonough, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, at Westbury Nursing Home. Coleman was born to the late Charles Johnson and Indiana Combs. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in McDonough.
He is survived by his devoted children, Edward Johnson, Gwendolyn Head, and Cynthia Penn; grandchildren, LaWanda Johnson, Joyce Head, Chauncey Johnson, Latoya Head, and Michael Head; seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, two sisters; one aunt, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held TODAY (Jan. 3), at 2 p.m., at Shiloh Baptist Church, with the Rev. E. W. Lee officiating. Burial will be at McDonough City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Speer & Speer Funeral Directors, (770) 957-3019.
Ms. Cindy Hutson, of Jonesboro, formerly of Bethesda, Md., passed away Dec. 31, 2007.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Sikes; daughter, Erica Hutson; mother, Bettie Houston; brother, Jimmy Houston; sisters, Linda Houston, Carolyn Meier, Jami Woodall; grandchildren, Emilee Sikes and Owen Sikes; and many nieces and nephews.
