Isabel Aderman Bettie
Isabel Aderman Bettie, 93, of Jonesboro, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Carol B. and James Kinard, of Stockbridge, Anita B., and Allan Haynie, of Jonesboro; daughter, Rose Marie Hammett, of Stockbridge; brother and sister-in-law, Edgar and Shirley Aderman, of Niagra, Wis.; sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Bob Adams, of Menonimee, Mich.; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held, Monday, Jan. 7, at 1 p.m., in the Chapel of Jonesboro First Baptist Church. She will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Rev. Irvin Pearre will officiate. Helen Bexley English
Helen Bexley English, 82, of Stockbridge, and a former resident of Newnan, Ga., died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008. She was born in Moreland to the late Ralph Emerson and Ruth Emma Haynes Bexley. She enjoyed gardening and fishing, but most important to her was her family.
Mrs. English is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Patrick Orrell, Stockbridge; granddaughter, Phyllis and Todd Newsome, Locust Grove; grandson, Phil and Ashley Orrell, Bishop, Ga.; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Harry Bexley, Atlanta, Glenn Bexley, Newnan, and James Bexley, McDonough.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace English, and siblings, Faye Wilson, R.E. Bexley, Stanley Bexley, and Billy Bexley. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, Jan. 6, at The Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors. Interment will follow at South View Cemetery, Moreland, Ga.
