James Walker Wilkins

Mr. James Walker Wilkins, 70, of 219 Deep Gap Loop Road, Hendersonville, N.C., passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008 at Charles W Henry Medical Center in Stockbridge, Ga.

He was born in Inman, S.C., on Sept. 29, 1937, the son of the late Horace "Dick" and Annie Helen (Graham) Wilkins. He is survived by one daughter, Kristi Lynn York, of Portland, Ore.; three sisters, Sara Simkins, of Greenville, S.C., Margaret Phillips and Beth McCollum, both of Inman, S.C.; two grandchildren, Haley Elisabeth York and Kendall Ellyce York. He was predeceased by four brothers, Fred, Johnny, Cecil and Bobby Wilkins.

Mr. Wilkins was employed with the FAA, was of the Baptist faith, and served in the U.S. Air Force.

Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Chapel, Inman, S.C., at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 9, with the Rev. Earl Hendrix officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Inman, S.C.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, 2-3 p.m., at Seawright Funeral Home.

Andrew Kyle Rogers

Andrew Kyle Rogers, 19, of Hampton, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008. He was born in Atlanta. Andrew attended Luella High School and Patrick Henry High School.

He is survived by his parents, David and Kami Rogers; brothers, Jason Rogers and Sean Rogers, all of Hampton; grandparents, Debbie Blanton, of Hampton, Sherley and David Rogers, of Lewisburg, Ky.; great-grandparents, Edith and Richard Horne, of Jacksonville, Fla.; uncles and aunt, Billy and Christy Rogers, Justin Blanton, Shane Blanton; and great-aunt and uncle, Donna and James Morris; girlfriend, Jessica Mabry; and numerous friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 10, at The Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with the Rev. Dudley Rose officiating.
