Joe E. Holley, 49, of Stockbridge, died Jan. 6, 2008 at Sacred Journey Hospice. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Holley Betsill; sisters, Bonnie Meyer and her husband, Sam, of Newnan, Nancy Holley Kitchens, of Stockbridge, and Carmen Holley, of Arkansas; two nephews, Ellis Meyer and John Stafford; one niece, Karla Kitchens. Katherine B. Glawson
Katherine B. Glawson, 82, of McDonough passed away Jan. 7. Mrs. Glawson was retired from Northwest Airlines, a member of The Rock Baptist Church, a member of the D. A. V. Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her son, Marshal Carpenter. Surviving are husband, Joseph J. Glawson; son, Danny Carpenter, of Athens; daughter, Trudi Baudo, of McDonough; sister, Emily Garrett, of Hiawassee; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 10, at 1 p.m., at The Rock Baptist Church, with Dr. Don Basel officiating. Interment will follow in The Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. Ruth B. Eskew, of McDonough, died Jan. 7, after a brief illness. Mrs. Eskew is survived by her husband, Ray Eskew, of McDonough; daughter, Donna and husband, Donald Smith, of Newnan; ., son, Richard and wife, Sue Hall, of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Heather Wimberly, Layla Smith and Tyler Hall; six great-grandchildren; brother, Leonard and wife, Catherine Bailey, of Stone Mountain. Mireille Davis, 76, of Decatur, died Jan. 6, at the Henry Medical Center. She was born in Casablanca, Morocco to the late Rahamin and Germaine Bounan Toledano. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Henry County Moose Lodge and enjoyed bingo and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Rick Davis; sons, Jacques and William Davis; granddaughters, Ericka Kitchens and Nicole Davis; great granddaughters, Emily and Kaylee Kitchens. Mr. Barry Dale Jones, Jr.
Mr. Barry Dale Jones, Jr., 31, of Stockbridge, passed away Jan. 7, 2008 at Henry Medical Center. Mr. Jones was born in Fulton County. He was a member of Gospel Outreach Church in Stockbridge; he loved and enjoyed his family, friends and his dogs. He enjoyed camping, fishing, attending concerts and playing on his play station. His mother, Darlene Belcher Lee, preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife, Crystal Jones; children, Jessica and Kaylei, all of Stockbridge; father and step-mother, Barry and Joy Jones, of Griffin; step father, Michael Lee, of Gwinnett County; brothers, Bryan, Nathan and Justin; grandparents, Joann and Sidney Belcher, Hill and Edna Jones, Betty Timbs and Joann Lee; nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Barry Jones will be Thursday, Jan. 10, at 1p.m., at Stockbridge Assembly of God, with Pastor Douglas K. Drucker officiating.
