Mr. Earl Hugh Miller, Sr.

Mr. Earl Hugh Miller, Sr., age 84 of Jonesboro, Ga., passed away Jan. 19, 2008 at Henry Medical Center. Mr. Miller was born in Fairburn, Ga. the son of the late Beryl Ruth Duke and Erwin Miller. Mr. Miller a WWII veteran retired from the US Navy with 23 years of service receiving Good Conduct, National Defense, and Korean Service medals. He enjoyed his family and friends, being a mechanic and doing any type of work with his hands.

Survivors are his wife, Bobbie Jean Miller of Jonesboro, children, Linda Cotton of Jacksonville, Fla., Debbie Jowers of Jacksonville, Fla., Theresa Gilbert of Washington D.C., Earl Miller, Jr. of Atlanta, Amanda Croft of McDonough; step children, Clara Clayton of Jonesboro, Nora Bivens of Molena, and Helen Wright of Locust Grove; 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Miller will be Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008 - 2 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Pastor Beau Adams officiating. Interment will be at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Cherry Hall

Mrs. Cherry Hall, age 76 of Morrow, passed away on Jan. 19, 2008. Mrs. Hall was a member of Heatherwood Baptist Church and was retired from the State Department of Corrections after 25 years of faithful service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie M. Hall, Jr. and daughter, Ruth Kyzer.

She is survived by her daughters, Beth (Allan) Youngblood, Dahlongea, Peggy (Jim) Oberst, Jonesboro, Debra Rhymer, Jonesboro; sons, Charlie (Wanda) Hall, Riverdale, Clifton Hall, Morrow; grandchildren, Ryan Hall, Riverdale, Amy (Jeremy) Liggett, Newnan, Penny (Donnie) Gilmer, Jonesboro, James (Shannon) Oberst, McDonough, Joshua (Lauren) Oberst, Jackson, Chris Kyzer, Sharpsburg, Eric (Mandy) Kyzer, Newnan, Jeremy (Kate) Youngblood, Cleveland, Jessica (Brody) Clements, Cleveland; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Tinkey Cann, Senoia; brother, Eugene (Bud) Allen, Fayetteville; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hall was a very special one-of-a-kind wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008 at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tom Dougherty officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m., Monday, Jan. 21, 2008.
