Sameria "Sam" Duzan Avery

Sameria "Sam" Duzan Avery, of Stockbridge, passed away on Jan. 28, 2008. She was born May 21, 1952. She is survived by her father, Samuel Duzan, of Indiana; her life-partner, Theresa D. Beaulieu; siblings, Billy (Jan) Duzan, of Jonesboro, Lonnie (Shirley) Duzan, of Hampton, Michael Duzan, of Tennessee, Faye Duzan, of Douglasville, Rusty (Sheila) Duzan, of Indiana, and Shawnna (Mark) Barnes, of Newnan; her son, Steve Avery, of Peachtree City; grandchildren, Denise, Scott and Seirra; nieces, Shannon Duzan-Fowler, Dana Duzan, Lisa Burtz, and Lori Rourke.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Atlanta Cancer Care in Stockbridge, Ga., 30281.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m., at Pope Dickson & Son - Morrow Chapel, (770) 961-2700.

Capt. Billy G. Craft

Capt. Billy G. Craft, 55, of Stockbridge, passed away on Jan. 28, 2008. Capt. Craft retired from the City of Atlanta Fire Department after 25 years of service, where he received the Medal of Valor.

Capt. Craft is survived by his sons, Jason (Adams) Craft, of Stockbridge, Jacob (Jake) and his wife, Kelly Craft, of Stockbridge; five grandchildren, Jordan Craft, Kaliana Craft, Jazmyn Craft, Jaylan Adams, Kaylee Adams; five sisters, Lavita Dykes, Juanita Pigg, Andrea Zilinski, Carm Ericson, Kay Minnick; two brothers, Gordon Craft and Charlie Craft.

Funeral services for Capt. Craft will be held on Thursday, Jan. 31, at 1p.m., at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel, with Chaplain Thomas E. Houston officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends TODAY (Wednesday, Jan. 30), from 11a.m., to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Horis A. Julian Kenneth Godwin

Mr. Julian Kenneth Godwin, of Rome, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008 in McDonough. He was born Dec. 4, 1958 in Fulton County, to Dorthy Jean Smith Godwin and Julian K. (Red) Godwin. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He loved to spend time fishing with family and friends. Prior to his illness, he worked in the heating and air conditioning business. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Rome.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Paige Reid Godwin; son, Julian Reid Godwin; three brothers and six sisters, James (Renee) Godwin, Judy (Fred) Moore, Sandra (Kim) Sauls, Jeannie Godwin, Deborah (Harry) Knisell, Wanda (Kenny) Cook, Tracy (Kaye) Godwin, Tim (Kat) Godwin, and Melinda Godwin; father and mother-in-law, J.P. and Laverne Reid; brothers and sisters-in-law, Angela (Michael) Trapp, Phil Reid, and Alison Martin; special aunts, Nell Akins and Dot Godwin; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Jan. 31,, 5-7 p.m., with a memorial service following at 7 p.m., at the Sherrell, Wilson, Mangham Funeral Home in Jackson. A second visitation and memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 2, 5-7 p.m., at Fellowship Baptist Church in Rome. Lesley Carl Bibbins

Lesley Carl Bibbins, 56, of East Main Street, Hampton, died Monday evening, Jan. 28, 2008 at Heartland Hospice in Riverdale. He was born July 30, 1951 in Granger County, the son of the late Lesley and Virginia Kennedy Bibbins. He served in the U. S. Armed Forces during the 1970's, and for the past 15 years was a construction superintendent for New South Construction Company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hampton.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry Farley Bibbins, of Hampton; children, Anissa Erb, Rutledge, Tenn., Chanda Harris, Molena, Ga., Lane Bibbins, Stockbridge, Michael Bibbins and Michala Bibbins, Hampton; grandchildren, Johnathon, Michelle, Brittany and Bailey; brothers and sisters, Marvin Bibbins, Brenda Ramsey, Joan Hodge, and David Bibbins, all of Tennessee; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 31, at 7p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Hampton. Dr. Terry Quick and Dr. Buddy Perstrope will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday at the church from 5 p.m., until the hour of service. The interment will be Friday, Feb. 1, at 4 p.m., at the Avondale Cemetery in Rutledge, Tenn.
