In order to alleviate lines in what is expected to be an enormous election day turnout, the Clayton County Board of Elections is hosting advance voting all this week, at six locations around the county.
Advance voting is taking place July 7 to July 11, from 8 a.m., to 7 p.m., at the following locations: The Elections and Registration office, 121 South McDonough Street in Jonesboro, inside the Historic Clayton County Courthouse; Lee Headquarters Library at 858 Battle Creek Road in Jonesboro; Lovejoy Branch Library at 1721 McDonough Road in Hampton; the Morrow Municipal Complex Community Room at 1500 Morrow Road in Morrow, Frank Bailey Senior Center at 6213 Riverdale Road in Riverdale; and the Carl Rhodenizer Recreation Center at 3499 Rex Road in Rex. Voters must provide a valid form of identification, which includes a Georgia driver's license, a U.S. military ID card, a free Georgia voter ID card, a valid state, county, or municipality-issued employee photo ID, a valid U.S. passport, or a valid tribal photo ID card. Free voter ID cards may be obtained by visiting the Elections and Registration Office, or the Georgia Department of Driver Services. -- Joel HallMore like this story
