Pets of the Week - July 10, 2008

Barkley is a one and a half year old Pekingese/Cairn Terrier mix.  He has been neutered and fully vaccinated.  Barkley was rescued from Animal Control, where he was found so badly matted that he was hardly recognizable as being a dog.  He is a sweet, good-natured little guy.....aside from being extremely cute!  He is housebroken and sits on command.  For more information, please call Clayton County Humane Society at 770/471-9436.  Visit www.claytoncountyhumane.org to see other animals available for adoption.

Felix is a 5 year old black and white domestic shorthair.  He has been neutered and all vaccinations are current.  Felix was originally adopted from CCHS over three years ago.  Felix has been a very good boy in his previous home and did nothing to warrant being returned to CCHS.  However, his former owner decided to move to a place where Felix was not  allowed to live.  So, as is so often the case, poor Felix finds himself back as the Humane Society shelter.  He is a very friendly, sweet little guy who, under normal circumstances, is also extremely social, but since coming back to the shelter he has shown certain signs of depression and withdrawal.  Felix bonded very strongly with the man that he lived with for three years, and is now confused and missing his "person".  If anyone is looking for a new best friend, please call Robin at 770/478-7531.  Visit www.claytoncountyhumane.org to see other animals available for adoption.
