Emmett "Big Red" Brown
Emmett "Big Red" Brown, of Forest Park, passed away July 28, 2008 at home surrounded by his family. He was a lifetime resident of Forest Park. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 31, at 11a.m., at Clifton Springs Methodist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Charles Huggins officiating. Visitation will be this evening (Wednesday), 6-8 p.m.
He was a wonderful husband, father, and brother. And a very beloved grandfather. A loving, giving friend. He worked for Bill Sammons Septic Service for 35 years. Before that, he drove a truck cross country. He worked at the Ford plant in Hapeville for 10 years.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia Brown; son, Emmett "Rusty" Stanley Brown; daughters, Peggy "Sissy" Brown, Sandra "Bug" Brown, all of Forest Park; God daughters, Rebecca Ray, of Millbrook, Ala., and Julie Ancel, of Hartford, Ala.; grandchildren, Stephanie Marie Brown, of Forest Park, Heather Brown Burris, of Snellville, Michael Brown, of Oxford, Lisa Marie Brown, of Loganville, Courtney Alexandria Brown, of Forest Park, Emma Anne and Elijah Anthony, of Lizella; brother, Herman Brown, of Forest Park; sisters, Mary Edna Gibson, Mildred Smith, Martha Biby and Ruby Harris, all of Forest Park; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, monetary donations be made to the family.

John C. Langhorne
John C. Langhorne, 73, of Jonesboro, passed away on July 28, 2008.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, July 31, at 11a.m., at Pope Dickson and Son-Jonesboro Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Shannon officiating. Burial will be at Camp Memorial Park.
His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 30, 6-8 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Steven Carr; grandson and his wife, James and Evelyn Carr.
