Divine Faith Ministries International North and South will present International Week 2008, June 16-22. The week-long festival will celebrate the music, arts, and cultures of different nationalities. Hampton First Baptist Church, at 85 McDonough St., will have a yard sale from 8 a.m., to 7 p.m., June 20, and from 8 a.m., to 2 p.m., June 21. The church will also hold a Run for Romania event June 21, beginning at 8 a.m. The cost to pre-register is $10 for the one-mile run, $15 for the 5K event, and $2 more on the day of the race. The Mt. Carmel Campus of New Birth South Metropolitan Church in Hampton, in conjunction with the Georgia Department of Labor will present the 2008 Empowerment Job Fair on Saturday, June 21 from 9 a.m., to 2 p.m. The fair will take place at the church, located at 2455 Mt. Carmel Road in Hampton. The Department of Labor will offer free workshops on resume writing, interviewing tips, and vocational rehabilitation. The Offender Probationer Parolee State Training Employment Program (T.O.P.P.S.T.E.P.) will host a special workshop designed to target rehabilitated ex-offenders and assist with their re-entry into the workforce. Corinth Baptist Church is hosting a golf tournament to benefit the Corinth Youth Ministry on Saturday, June 21 at the Links Golf Course in Fayetteville. Tournament begins at 9 a.m., includes 18 holes and lunch -- Fort Lauderdale rules, with partner. Sign up by June 7, $50 per golfer, $55 at the door. Forest Park First Baptist Church, located at 634 Main Street in Forest Park, will host its Vacation Bible School from June 22-26, 6-9 p.m. The theme of the Bible School is "Outrigger Island: Living God's Unshakable Truth." Classes will be offered free to children in the first through sixth grades. A VBS Luau Kickoff Extravaganza Preregistration event will be take place on Saturday, June 21 from 10 a.m., to 12:30 p.m., at the church with food, games, and fun. The Ole Country Church would like to invite you and your family to a concert on Sunday night, June 22 at 6 p.m., featuring "The Descendants." First Baptist Church of Riverdale will kick off its Vacation Bible School on Sunday, June 22 with a "VBS Luau" starting at 6 p.m. It will be a time of food, games, and fellowship built around the "Outrigger Island" theme. With the theme, "Building On the Rock." Each Wednesday evening session will include a light supper, devotions, singing, story time, and arts and crafts.
