Fans of a 1980s television show will assemble in Hampton this weekend, for a chance to relive the past, and check out one very fast car.
Atlanta Motor Speedway will host the 10th annual DukesFest & Hazzard County Fair Saturday and Sunday.
The event will include appearances by regulars from the old "Dukes of Hazzard" television series, including Catherine Bach, Tom Wopat, James Best, Ben Jones and Rick Hurst, each of whom will sign autographs during the two days of festivities.
DukesFest will also showcase hundreds of replicas of the General Lee - the 1969 Dodge Charger featured in the series.
Other scheduled activities include a petting zoo, a stunt show, a Daisy Dukes' shorts contest, and a performance by country band, Telluride.
John Schneider, who played Bo Duke on the show, is serving as promoter for the event.
Marcy Scott, director of marketing and promotion for the speedway, said she is looking forward to the event's impending arrival in Hampton.
"We are excited to be bringing ... DukesFest to AMS," she said. "This event will be entertaining for 'Dukes of Hazzard' fans, as well as people looking for something fun to do for the weekend."
Doors open for DukesFest at 9 a.m., both days. To enter the speedway for the event, go to gate 15 in the speedway's main tunnel.
Admission to the event is $15 per day, if paid in advance, and $20 the day of the event. Weekend-package tickets may be purchased for $25, or $35 if purchased the day of the event.
Gates at the speedway will close at 10 p.m., Saturday, and 5:30 p.m., Sunday.
Tickets are available through the speedway ticket office, or at www.dukesfest.com.
